At the edge of what intelligence means now

For two decades I've worked at the intersection of artificial intelligence, national security, and the unglamorous operational reality of turning raw signal into consequential decisions. I co-founded and led a global intelligence technology company through its full arc — from first line of code to acquisition — and today I shape product and strategy at the frontier of AI-driven digital investigations.

The work lives in a narrow band: where research meets deployment, where models meet consequences, and where the people making decisions are rarely the same people building the systems that inform them. That gap is where the interesting problems are.

What I write about here

These dispatches are field notes, not think pieces. They come from inside the work — from agencies, operators, and teams shipping intelligence systems that have to function when the stakes are real.
